I took the plunge! Life is short and I never planned on sitting at a desk all of my life. With so many on-line teaching opportunities I think it will all turn out okay. You reach a certain age and have to make a decision one way or the other about the rest of your life!
You love teaching and you're good at it, so what the heck. Sometimes you have to just give something your all out effort to find out if it's really right. It seems to me that the biggest part of teaching would be to initially prepare your courses. After that you have to refine them and deal with student assignments. I'm sure that there is more involved, but after you've done it awhile, it should get easier, just like with anything. I wish you all the best.
